A Step In a New Direction

I had a lunch meeting today.  A lunch meeting to discuss moving in a new direction professionally.  And guess what!  It went really well!

The ball is now in motion for me to transition into a new phase of my career.  I have a huge opportunity ahead of me.  The transition will occur slowly over the next six-to-twelve months.  A long transition, I know, but means to an end that will make my transition easier on all parties involved.  So, yays for that.

In other news, I've opted to try something different with the goals.  I know what my 3 BHAG's are.  They are constant.  So, I'm going to try to set 4-5 mini-goals this week to make baby steps toward reaching my BHAGs.  I managed to get four this week - and guess what I've already accomplished 2/4.  Success!  These mini-successes make me feel like they could have a snowball effect and I could really get on track.

I have an eye appointment on Friday.  "Pre-Op" for LASIK.  I'm very excited.  I'm not blind (although James will tell you that I am,) but glasses/contacts are more of a nuisance than anything.  This is something that I've wanted for a few years.  I'm not sure how long is between pre-op and the actual LASIK, but not soon enough.  I've been in my glasses since before New Year's and I hate wearing my glasses.

Happy Wednesday!
